Special Agent, Law Enforcement Assistance Program (LEAP), Office of National Security Programs & Incident Response (AXE-820)
Asher (he/him) currently serves as a LEAP Agent for the Office of National Security Programs & Incident Response; covering Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Asher is also an Intelligence Officer for the Air Force Reserve, serving the FAA community as a Director at Large in the Gay, Lesbian, or Bisexual Employees (GLOBE) human resource organization and a proud trans man. FAA GLOBE was the primary reason he felt comfortable coming out in the workplace while transitioning later in his career. Asher has a unique understanding of peoples’ need to feel recognized, safe and heard having experienced Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and The Transgender Military Ban. While in the military, he recognized the value and necessity of advocacy for the LGBTQAI+ community. After traveling the world he has settled in Chicago, with his partner, four year old daughter, and three furry kids.
