Sanijela (Sani) Varga (she/her)

Management and Program Analyst: AJO

Sani Varga joined the FAA in 2020 as the Office of Human Resources (AHR) Internship Programs Manager. In this role she was responsible for managing FAA wide internship programs. She currently works in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services (AJG) Team as the Student Programs Manager focusing on the FAA’s Minority Serving Institution (MSI) Internship Program and Gateways Program. Prior to joining the agency, she worked as a federal contractor managing the FAA’s MSI Internship Program for three years.

Sani joined FAA Pride upon her arrival at FAA, after learning about it through AHR’s New Employee Orientation. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community she was very excited that the FAA has an established LGBTQ+ organization and a space where we can all come together, creating a sense of community. Since joining, she has been serving as the FAA Pride Secretary. Recently Sani, her wife and their two kitties moved to Montpelier, VT after spending the last 8 years in DC metro area.
