Capital Pride Parade 2024 - Volunteer Parade Marchers Needed! Interested? Register Here!

Capital Pride is right around the corner. This is a significant event where FAA Pride is partnering with Pride in Federal Service (PFS), our overarching Employee Association Group, and many other Federal agencies to march in the 2024 Capital Pride Parade. It's a powerful way to show that Federal employees have Pride, too! 

So, before you start preparing to strut your stuff down Pennsylvania Avenue, FAA Pride needs to get a head count of people who want to march in this year's Capital Pride Parade. Volunteer to march by just registering/RSVPing for this FAA Pride Event. You can bring/march with significant others, family, and friends. We want to make sure everyone feels included in this celebration of Pride. Please, if possible, register them only if they are 18 or over so that we can have an accurate count of volunteers. 

If you RSVP and then have a change of heart, no worries. Email me at marie.kee@faa.gov so I can take you (and your +1s, if needed) off the RSVP list. The Capital Pride Parade Marchers RSVP list from FAA Pride will be cut off and finalized on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 - NO EXCEPTIONS! So be sure to get your RSVPs and any modifications submitted as soon as possible.

The staging for this year's Capital Pride Parade will be on 15th Street NW, between 11:00 am and 2:30 pm. See map for more details and visit the Capital Pride Alliance Website for more information regarding EVERYTHING Capital Pride 2024. 

If marching in Parades isn't your thing, that’s perfectly OK. We like to meet people where they are around here and make sure everyone feels comfortable and welcomed. Still, please come out and enjoy the festivities. Before the Parade, FAA Pride Members and Friends will meet informally at JR’s Bar, one of DC's favorites, from 1 PM to 2 PM EDT for a Pre-Capital Pride Parade Meet and Greet event for volunteer parade marchers and general parade attendees. For convenience, JR's Bar is located at 1519 17th St NW, Washington, DC 20036, and is nearest to the Farragut West Metro Station, Dupont Circle Metro Station, or just an Uber or Lyft ride away.
