For the April Convention we discussed having a general meeting on the last day with an online town hall component so we can communicate with our membership and ask what they are seeking. Alex has agreed to help start an outline for what we need to be successful on that.
We also discussed the need to have booths at EA events throughout the country. Matthew agreed to put together a list of the booth-worthy events so we can seek volunteers to attend them. We discussed specifically the Northwest Mountain and being involved at the Management Association.
In January we will also discuss World Pride in DC this coming May/June – we will also need to begin discussing both online and area events.
Finally we discussed the idea of creating a bi-weekly online event, similar to the Coffee Klatch, so that our members have a place to communicate with each other during the challenges that we know is ahead. Cassandra mentioned Jitsi as a potential service, I have also asked the Executive Board to consider the purchase of a FAA Pride streaming meeting service like Zoom or Google Meet for that purpose. Marie pointed out that it would be most beneficial if we have some indication from others to identify potential hosts so that the burden is not to heavy on any one person.
